To keep your pot looking spiffy, follow these rules: 1. Casseroles and other serving pieces should be placed in a cold oven and cooked as directed. 2. Never put a hot pot on a wet surface, on a stove top burner or under the broiler. 3. Place a spoon into mugs or bowls when filling with boiling water. It is the sudden drastic change in temperature that may cause damage that could have been avoided. If you follow these rules this pot should last for centuries.
